Off Premise Sales Representative

Reports To:    Off Premise Team Leader

Division:         Off Premise

Outside Sales Exempt

Summary: Sells and merchandises North Florida Sales products to an established sales territory by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to work by 6:30 am, Monday - Friday.  Schedule is subject to change as needed.
  • Follows a pre-established daily Route Sequence to ensure all customers receive proper service.
  • Records inventory and sales information in Encompass at each account. 
  • Records all stops and transactions in hand held computer.
  • Ensures all North Florida Sales quality control standards are met, including ensuring there is no over age product available for sale to consumers.  Sales Representatives may be charged for the cost of overage product in their designated territory.
  • Keeps customers informed of all price promotions, new products, and merchandising opportunities.
  • Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPI) annual progress.
  • Responsible for selling in and merchandising all displays.
  • Merchandises all accounts with paper point of sale (POS), i.e. base wrap, cooler statics, price strips, banners, etc.
  • Responsible for overall customer satisfaction level and execution at store level.
  • Works closely with Supervisor and Delivery Driver to ensure all customer needs are met.  
  • Listens to and attempts to resolve customer complaints when possible and/or ensures customer satisfaction by informing immediate supervisor.
  • Maintains NFS’ culture of dignity and respect and works as a productive member of a team.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Monitors State of Florida “No Sale” and “Cash Only” lists to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for rotating all windows and coolers per company policy.
  • Adheres to all Anheuser-Busch policies.
  • Adheres to all State Beverage Laws.
  • Attends North Florida Sales meetings as required.
  • Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Wears only company approved clothing.
  • Checks mailbox daily for sale updates and customer call-ins.
  • Responsible for all equipment supplied to them by the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Prior sales experience required preferably beverage sales.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to write reports or correspondence.  Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.

           

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to work with money and make change.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with several concrete variables in standardized                situations.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or                scheduled form.

           

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A valid Florida Driver’s License and safe driving record meeting MVR guidelines maintained during entire length of employment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Department of Transportation physical required regularly.

The work environment is partly outdoors characterized by intense heat or cold, sunlight, inclement weather conditions such as rain and wind, and may encounter smells consistent with the operation of motor vehicles, and partly indoors characterized by customary indoor lighting, and temperatures.  Additionally, employees will encounter cold temperatures of less than 50° in coolers.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
