Cashier
Reports To: Office Manager
Division: Administration
Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for collecting, balancing, and reporting all cash, checks and charges received by the company drivers on a daily basis by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives and balances driver’s deposits and paperwork.
- Inputs all received cash, checks and charges into computer.
- Balances all money and charges received with computer reports and resolves any discrepancies.
- Prepares reports for Controller and accounting personnel.
- Prepares bank deposits.
- Tracks driver case sales, keys, and over/short deposits.
- Separates hot shot and void invoices.
- Track and order supplies.
- Maintain NFS’ culture of dignity and respect and works as a productive member of a team.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Attends North Florida Sales meetings as required.
- Adheres to all State Beverage Laws.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and two (2) years heavy cash handling and balancing experience. Some college preferred.
Must be computer literate.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to write reports or correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to operate a 10-key adding machine by touch.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
